I put this commitment into practice as a lawyer, as a compliance officer for several companies, and as the chairman of the supervisory board of an asset management firm.
As a certified data protection officer, I protect corporate values with expertise and sound judgment. As a board member of the Courage Foundation at Heidelberg Children’s Hospital, I step in where social support is most urgently needed.
My commitment is clear: I don’t just advise on responsibility; I take ownership – in business, for my clients, and for our society.

01. Back then: A northerner with a longing for the South
Growing up near Bremen, the weather, my studies (and perhaps the lifestyle) drew me to the sunny South at an early age.
Shifting loyalties: My heart used to beat green and white (Werder Bremen) in the far north. But for many years now, I’ve been rooted in the Kraichgau region—and I’m a passionate fan and supporter of TSG Hoffenheim. For me, loyalty and a love of the game go hand in hand, both on the field and in my career.
02. Studies and Doctorate
Law degree in Heidelberg, doctorate at the University of Zurich (Prof. Dr. Brigitte Tag). My legal clerkship took me from Heidelberg and Mannheim all the way to Detroit, Michigan (USA).
03. My years as a lawyer
I worked at SCHLATTER in Heidelberg and Mannheim for 17 years, 10 of them as a partner. My focus: business law, banking and capital markets law, and compliance.
04. Today: Entrepreneurial freedom
Since 2025, I have been the founder and managing director of APOS Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG. In parallel, since 2021, I have been supporting clients as the founder and managing director of Protadus GmbH in the areas of compliance, data protection, and whistleblowing.
